The first day of grade 12.
I took a seat in my first period class. My friend came in half a minute later and took the seat next to me. Then, two of his friends came in and sat next to him. I don't know what happened between the three of them in grade 9, but my friend practically slammed his face on the desk and gave a little weep. His friends told him, "Don't worry. It won't be like in grade 9." Our teacher got us to rearrange ourselves in alphabetical order (by last name). The girl I sit beside now, she saw that I put a rating of "9" on how much I like math. She just thought I was completely out of it, or "crazy," I suppose.
My second period is a lunch period. Apparently, one of my friends has a nearby locker and also has two lunches (or a lunch and a spare) during the same periods as I do. I was happy that I didn't need to sit around alone during period two. But she may fill in the period with a class because she doesn't want a spare.
My third period class is one I never even knew existed. The school just threw me into it because there were probably no other classes available... grr. It seemed like a pretty fun course though, or at least, that's what I got as a first impression from the teacher's overview of the course.
I don't want to rearrange my timetable in any way because it's likely that my timetable may get "messed up." I guess keeping a spare would also benefit in a number of ways throughout the semester....
My fourth period is a lunch period, yet again. Nothing much happened.
Fifth/last period. I thought I would be the only grade 12 since it's a grade 11 course. However, there was another grade 12. I don't know him very well, but he's been in a few of my classes from previous years. Unfortunately, kind of like my friend in period 2 lunch, he may be dropping the course if he can't get the grade 12 course that follows this course.
It was an average first day of school.
